Market Rasen New Life Church uses personal data about individuals for the purpose of general church administration and communication as well as for pastoral care of its members and others closely associated with the church. We recognise the importance of the correct and lawful treatment of personal data whether it is held on paper, on computer or other media and we ensure it is subject to the appropriate legal safeguards as specified in the General Data Protection Regulation 2017.
Personal data will be used for the purpose for which it was collected and will be treated as confidential. It will be kept as accurate and up to date as possible. Computer records and databases are password protected and only accessible to those who have a right to access it and paper records and other data are stored in locked environments. Personal data will not be passed to third parties or other organisations (unless in exceptional circumstances we are legally compelled to do so).
Where necessary new consents will be requested from parents/guardians for the collection of personal data eg for the safe running of Children’s & Youth groups, Holiday Club, and trips. Participants will be asked if they wish to be kept informed of future activities.
Individuals, of course, have the right to ask us to remove their personal information at any time if they no longer want to be kept in touch or contacted.
If any individuals wish to exercise their right to have access to the personal information held on them by Market Rasen New Life Church, they should make a request in writing addressed to the Data Protection Co-ordinator. Responses to such requests will be made as quickly as possible and within a 30 day time frame unless there is a good reason for delay. In such cases the reasons for the delay will be explained in writing.
